Mary Perkinson | Violin

An award-winning artist, educator, and community leader, Mary Perkinson, DMA, began her violin studies at the age of five in the Philadelphia public schools. She has been a visiting artist/lecturer in Europe, Asia, South America, and 35 states in the US. Recent collaborations include recitals of Bach sonatas for Baroque violin and harpsichord with Max Yount, and a national tour of Timeless Music, Timeless Disease; Classical Composers and Consumption, with microbiologist Yolanda Chan. She is an Associate Professor at University of Nebraska-Omaha, where she collaborates on music and memory research. She holds degrees from Boston University, Boston Conservatory, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
